The founder and General Overseer of Radiant International Church, in Zambia, Bishop Cephas Mabo, has been arrested by the police in Kasama for allegedly raping a 20-year-old lady.
The 45-year-old Bishop raped the lady, who is one of his church members, in the bush where they had gone for fasting and prayer on Wednesday.
Northern Province commissioner of police Richard Mweene made the revelation to Zambian website, Lusaka Times, in an interview on Friday. He said the incident happened around 12:30 hours on Wednesday on Kasama-Isoka road.
The victim was said to have attempted to commit suicide after the incident.
“She has been admitted to Kasama General Hospital while the suspect is in police custody,” Mweene said.
