Nollywood actress and filmmaker Bimbo Ademoye has accused an individual of falsely claiming ownership of a song used in her YouTube movie, “Where Love Lives,” leading to demonetisation on the platform.

Nollywood star Bimbo Ademoye has expressed frustration after a copyright claim was placed on her YouTube film Where Love Lives, which has garnered over 18 million views since its release in December 2025.

Ademoye alleged that an individual identified as Emmanuel Davies claimed ownership of a song featured in the film, despite her holding full rights to the soundtrack.

She further stated that Davies uploaded the song to Spotify and other streaming platforms, listing himself as the composer.

Reacting on her Instagram page on Saturday, Ademoye issued an ultimatum to the accused, demanding the copyright claim be removed immediately. She wrote:
“But Emmanuel, you have one hour to lift that copyright from my movie.

A song I completely own the rights to, you took it, uploaded it, named yourself the composer and blocked me from making money from my own sweat.”

She warned that she would take further action if the issue was not resolved, urging anyone with knowledge of Davies or the platforms to intervene.

Ademoye also noted that this was not her first copyright-related dispute. She is reportedly pursuing another individual over a similar issue. In a follow-up post, she added:

“Emmanuel Davies!, YOU HAVE 1 HOUR. I’d place a bounty on your head and when I find you, you’d wish you never did this. First Anwuli (who I’m still coming for, now this) whoever knows Lagos sound/Emmanuel Davies should warn him now! Before I handle this MY OWN WAY!”

As of the time of reporting, Emmanuel Davies had not publicly responded to the allegations.
