The 2025 American Music Awards lit up Las Vegas with unforgettable performances and historic wins, as Billie Eilish emerged as the night’s biggest winner, taking home all seven awards for which she was nominated.
Eilish’s victories included the coveted Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for Hit Me Hard and Soft. She also swept key pop categories, winning Favourite Female Pop Artist, Favourite Pop Album, and Favourite Pop Song. Her emotionally resonant track Birds of a Feather secured both Song of the Year and Favourite Pop Song honors. “Billie Eilish (WINNER)” was listed in top categories, emphasizing her undeniable industry impact.
Beyoncé scored two notable wins in the country music categories, marking a standout moment in her genre expansion. She took home Favourite Female Country Artist and Favourite Country Album for her groundbreaking record Cowboy Carter. Post Malone also made history with his first AMA country win, earning Favourite Male Country Artist.
Eminem made a celebrated return to the AMA stage, winning his first award in 15 years. He was named Favourite Male Hip-Hop Artist and secured Favourite Hip-Hop Album for The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).
Gracie Abrams was crowned New Artist of the Year, further solidifying her fast-rising star status. Meanwhile, the powerful duo of Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars won Collaboration of the Year and Favourite Music Video for their hit Die With a Smile. Gaga also added Favourite Dance/Electronic Artist to her accolades, and Mars was recognized as Favourite Male Pop Artist.
Other winners included Megan Thee Stallion for Favourite Female Hip-Hop Artist, SZA for Favourite Female R&B Artist and R&B Song (Saturn), and The Weeknd for Favourite Male R&B Artist and R&B Album (Hurry Up Tomorrow).
The awards also spotlighted global genres with Bad Bunny and Becky G leading the Latin categories, Tyla dominating Afrobeats, and RM taking home the K-pop crown. Rock music saw a strong showing from Twenty One Pilots, who won both Favourite Rock Artist and Rock Album for Clancy, while Linkin Park’s The Emptiness Machine earned Favourite Rock Song.
