DSS officials have arrested a former Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam, in connection with the killings in the state, LibertyTVradio reports.
Reports said Suswam has a case to answer as evidence linked him to some of the arrested suspects.
An unnamed source said,
“The boys perpetrating these gruesome murders are sponsored by Politicians in order to undermine the current Government.”
In a related development, officers of the Nigerian army raided and bombarded the hideout of the most wanted criminals in the state, Terwase Aguazer alias Gana, who is also linked to several killings.
This was made known by Major General Adeyemi Yekini during a press briefing in Makurdi.
He said some of Gana’s gang members were arrested, adding that one of them had confessed to the killing of the Senior Special Assistant on special security to Governor Ortom, Deneen Igbana last two years.
