Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has arrived Benue state to in solidarity with the state government and people over the loss caused by the August 27 flood in the state.
One of his first points of call is the internally displaced persons camp in Makurdi for a first-hand assessment of the damages.
They were received at Makurdi airstrip at about 2:00 p.m. by Governor Samuel Ortom, who immediately took them on a tour of the disaster areas on the plains of River Benue in Makurdi.
