Eid-el-fitr: Auchi monarch urges Muslims to pray at home

Big Brother Naija housemate, Sultana, has shared the personal journey behind her decision to embrace Islam, despite being raised in a home influenced by both Christianity and Islam.

While speaking with fellow housemates, Sultana explained that she was born to a Muslim father from Adamawa State and a Christian mother from Yala, Cross River State, which exposed her to both religions from an early age.

Responding to a question from co-housemate Zita about her religious upbringing, she clarified that neither of her parents imposed strict religious rules on her.

Zita asked, “Are your parents strict Muslims?”

Sultana replied, “No, I grew up going to both church and mosque. My mom is a Christian. At some points, I got baptized in Catholic, my baptismal name is Josephine. I just decided to choose the religion that works best for me, which is Islam.”
