Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Daniel Olatunji, popularly known as Danboskid, has revealed plans to fully explore opportunities in Nollywood, saying he intends to build on the foundation he had laid prior to entering the reality show.
The 25-year-old model from Ekiti State, who was evicted from the show alongside fellow housemate Ibifubara last Sunday, made the disclosure during an interview with a group of journalists.
“Honestly, I feel it is a good start. Before coming into the house, I had already laid my foundation and coming outside the house, I am glad I am in this management,” he said.
Danboskid explained that the show’s organisers had offered housemates the opportunity to have their talents managed by chaperones. He noted that he had already received an audition script for the TV series Tinsel just a day after his eviction.
“Before we got into the house, they said if we wanted our talents to be handled by chaperones, we could say that. Even a day after my eviction, I still got an audition script for Tinsel. I think I am in the right place and I am going to hang around,” he added.
In addition to his acting ambitions, Danboskid also spoke about his growing connection with fellow housemate Zita. He revealed that, although she had never been in a serious relationship before, there was a genuine bond between them that he hopes to pursue outside the show.
“I would not say 100%, I was so glad that I laid it into Zita. She has not been in any relationship before, she said whenever she got into anything with a guy and she noticed that she was catching feelings, she was just going to gaslight the guy,” he said.
“So she has not really been in a real relationship before. One thing I told her was I liked how we were going, and she said she did like it as well. She said she was scared, but then she liked it.
“So one thing I told her was that if she would not mind, I would like to take it out in the outside world and continue from where we stopped. She was like we would see how it goes. She did not shut me off but she was like let us get outside first and see how it is.”
Danboskid’s post-show ambitions reflect a growing trend among reality TV stars leveraging the BBNaija platform to transition into the entertainment industry.
