Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Alex Asogwa, popularly known as Unusual Alex, has stirred conversation online with her outspoken views on religious fanaticism, describing certain expressions of faith as misguided and extreme.

In a post shared on Instagram, Alex questioned the practice of invoking spiritual authority through phrases like “The God of my pastor,” labeling those who do so as lost and irrational in her view.

“Once I hear you say ‘The God of my pastor’, I know you are a lost cause and we can’t reason the same,” she wrote.

She also criticized individuals who go as far as using their pastor’s image as wallpaper on their phones or devices, suggesting that such behavior reflects an unhealthy level of devotion.

“Those ones that go extra miles to make their pastor their wallpaper. The day I’m ready for conversations about religion, I know a lot of people will fight me but again, I know my mouth,” she continued.

Alex made it clear that while her opinions may spark backlash, she is unapologetic about her stance and prepared to speak her truth regardless of opposition.

“I’ll say my own and hell can be let loose for all I care. A lot of people are brainwashed. Any way, have a good day my people,” she concluded.
