BBNaija star Cross Da Boss, whose real name is Ikechukwu Sunday Okonkwo, has shared a moving testimony about how a worship song by Dunsin Oyekan led to a life-changing encounter with Christ.

In a video clip circulating online, Cross explained that he was listening to a Dunsin Oyekan track when he felt an unusually strong spiritual presence. He described a moment where he sensed God’s reality so clearly that he began to cry and eventually yielded his life to Christ.

“I went upstairs to the room and just played music. I had a very frustrating morning. The music was playing, then it changed to Dunsin Oyekan. When the song started playing, I was like, okay, beautiful song,” Cross recounted.

He said that after slipping and falling in his room, he found himself in a trance. “Everywhere was dark. I looked up and saw a TV playing my life—things I did in my London days, in Spain, in Dubai, even primary school. Things I was not proud of. It was so painful,” he said.

Cross described feeling someone flogging him, but it was not painful—like itches all over his body. He cried as he watched his life play before him. Then he saw someone standing in front of him, tapping him and saying, “Stop crying, I’m here.”

“The person looked like me but was not me. In my mind, I asked, ‘Who are you?’ He answered without talking: ‘It’s me. I’m you,'” Cross said.

He then found himself in a big white hall with beautiful gardens and different beings, some with butterfly wings and animal colors. He saw a throne with someone seated whose legs were not legs but warm, fiery light.

A being beside him told him, “The Bible is exactly God’s words. It’s like a guideline. If you open the Bible and pray, asking the Holy Spirit to guide you, He will interpret it for you.”

Cross woke up in his room about four to five hours later. “That day, I realized that life is more spiritual than physical. I want you guys to understand that I have seen it. I’m not just a guy that likes to have fun. I want to tell you that Jesus is real,” he said.

Cross married Chinonso Patricia Onyebuchi, a digital-twin creator and born-again Christian from Anambra State, in a traditional wedding in December 2025 and a court wedding in February 2026. Their white wedding was officiated by Pastor Jerry Eze in Abuja in April 2026.
