Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Opeyemi Ayanwale, known as Imisi, has announced plans to launch a Non-Governmental Organisation focused on helping the girl child.

Imisi revealed her plans shortly after receiving an additional N2 million cheque from BetKing in Lagos, a reward from a competition she won while in the BBNaija house.

Expressing her gratitude, she described the moment as overwhelming and emotional. She also reflected on her childhood struggles, saying they inspired her desire to support young girls facing similar challenges.

Imisi said, “I am overwhelmed; I am happy and grateful; I feel good, excited and delighted. I just feel good seeing all these working in my favour. As a lady, I know what it was growing up. So, for me, I would like to do something for a girl child. I am not clear yet, but something like a foundation for the girl child, because that has always been my desire, and I think I really want to do that.”

She added that her experience on Big Brother Naija changed her life and gave her more visibility. “I have been an actress for a while now, but Big Brother really gave me the exposure, and I am grateful. It means a whole lot to me.”

At the cheque presentation, BetKing’s Head of Marketing, Nengi Akinola, said the company introduced exclusive games during the BBNaija season and rewarded housemates to engage more viewers.

She explained, “We released some exclusive games this season, like Danfo Lagos, JJ Ball X in collaboration with Jay Jay Okocha, and Film House, which featured a female character on a cash quest. Big Brother gave us a platform to connect with a wider entertainment audience. This is our first time collaborating with the show.”

Akinola added that the company would assess the outcome of the partnership before deciding on future collaborations.
