Big Brother Naija Season 10 started on Saturday, July 26, with a surprise no one saw coming. Fifteen female housemates were introduced first, with no male contestants in sight.

The launch night opened the doors to a house filled with women aged between 21 and 37 from across Nigeria. From DJs and lawyers to single mothers and beauty queens, the women all share one goal—to win the N150 million prize.

According to Multichoice’s Executive Head of Marketing, Tope Oshinkeye, the show wanted to shake things up. “It is amazing to see the competition between women of the same gender. The dynamic is different, and it’s going to be an extraordinary milestone,” he said.

He also hinted that male housemates will join the next day, Sunday, July 27. “We’ve seen 15 contestants so far. The guys will go in the next day, and we are looking forward to the 10/10 season. We need to see who brings the biggest game,” he added.

The housemates entered one after the other during the live show hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

Zita, 24, a UNILAG student and model from Imo State, came in first. She’s a makeup artist, painter, and photographer who lives with a “you only live once” mindset.

Ayomide, 23, from Ondo State, followed soon after. She’s an actress who believes she was born for the spotlight.

Farida Sultana from Adamawa, 26, is a plus-size model and beautician. She calls herself eccentric and says she’s here to grow and connect.

Doris Okorie, a 34-year-old radio presenter and actor, entered next. She calls herself a firecracker and said she’s here for chaos, fun, and drama.

Sonia Amako, also known as Big Soso, is a 28-year-old chef and lawyer from Kaduna who funded her education by cooking. She wants to show what Northern women are capable of.

Tracy, 27, from Anambra, says she came to breathe, have fun, and take a break from pressure.

Ifeyinwa Okafor, or Ivatar, is a 37-year-old single mum and DJ raised in South Africa. She brings a mix of cultures and strong energy to the game.

Sabrina, 32, is royalty from Edo State with a master’s degree from the London School of Economics. She has modelled for Vogue and given a TEDx talk.

Nicole Simon–Ogan, known as DJ Gigi Jasmine, is 31. She’s a Nigerian-American DJ and single mum who wants to shift the culture through music and realness.

Thelma Lawson, 27, is a skincare boss and mum. She opened her second shop while still in university and says she’s loud, honest, and ready to level up.

Imisi, 23, from Oyo State, is a fashion designer and actress. She grew up isolated and says that made her stronger and louder.

Ibifubara Davies, 28, is a psychologist from Rivers State. She’s witty, compassionate, and full of vibes, with a big interest in mental health.

Isabella, 29, also from Rivers, is a single mother of a 14-year-old. She describes herself as sweet but sharp and doesn’t care what anyone thinks.

Joanna, 21, from Benue, is a two-time pageant queen who says she’s here to shake tables and change the narrative.

Dede, 23, from Delta, is all about competition and family. She’s already bought her mum a house and says she’s ready to win.

This season, tagged “10/10,” will run for 71 days. The Head of House challenge will now happen every Sunday, and the winner will face another test on Monday nights.

Unlike past seasons, the N150 million prize won’t be given all at once. Housemates will earn it gradually, based on their performance, strategy, and influence.

The male contestants are expected to enter on Sunday night during the second half of the launch.
