Big Brother Naija Season 9 housemates, Ben and Chizoba, have been evicted from the reality show.
Their eviction was announced by the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, during the Sunday Live Eviction show.
The pair, who were in a relationship within the house, are the first to be evicted since the dissolution of housemate pairings, allowing contestants to compete individually.
Ben, known for his sense of humor, was one of the standout personalities in the house. His exit marked the first eviction since the show’s format changed two weeks ago. Shortly after, Chizoba, who was romantically involved with Ben, was also evicted.
Nine housemates were up for eviction after open nominations earlier in the week. The competition is heating up as housemates now vie for the grand prize of ₦100 million, which includes a cash prize and an SUV, with more sponsored prizes to be announced.
The show is now in its eighth week and is set to conclude on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
