The Bauchi Emirate Council has taken the decision to relieve six recently turbaned traditional title holders in Galambi District Area of their appointments.

This announcement was made through a press release by the Chief Information Officer of Bauchi Emirate Council, Malam Babangida Hassan Jahun.

According to the statement, the decision was reached during the council’s meeting, and it was based on the fact that the process of turbaning these title holders by the District Head of Galambi, Alhaji Shehu Adamu Jumba, was not in line with established guidelines for such appointments.

The titles affected include Galadiman Danlawal, Majidadin Danlawal, Wakilin Dokan Danlawal, Wakilin Gonan Danlawal, Sarkin Dajin Danlawal, and Hardon Danlawal.

The Bauchi Emirate Council emphasized the need for adherence to established guidelines and regulations in the turbaning process.

In addition to relieving the six title holders, the District Head of Galambi has been barred from making such appointments for a period of one year, effective from November 7, 2023.

The council emphasized the importance of ensuring that any future turbaning processes align with the stipulated guidelines within the Emirate.
