Mohammed said: “Today, we recorded 11 new positive cases in the state. So, in total, we have recorded 25 confirmed cases in Bauchi State.
“Six have been discharged while 19 are currently active. I got the results from the NCDC around 3.00 pm.”
“These 19 active cases are all on admission in the isolation center and are undergoing management.”
He said that the new cases included those intercepted returning into the state from Rivers and Enugu states.
The remaining nine were recorded from Katagum and Bauchi Local Government Areas of the state.
“Results of 50 of them came back to us out of which two turned out positive. The remaining 28 results are still being awaited,” he stated.
On contact tracing, Mohammed said that serious tracing has begun in order to identify those who had contacts with the active cases.
He said: “I wasn’t out myself to do the contact tracing and before I came back, it was tough.
