Comedian Bright Okpocha, fondly called by his stage name, Basketmouth has said he would run for Nigerian presidency in the 2019 election.

It may not be a joke. One can’t be very sure. However, the comedian said he would make the move if Donald Trump, the Republican Party candidate in the United States election wins in the ongoing election.

Trump first became popular  as the anchor of the show, The Apprentice. He is also known to have several showbiz investments, including several pageantries and the famous World Wrestling Federation. He is also described in some quarters as a TV producer.

Many people thought Donald Trump was joking when back in 2015, he picked the nomination form of the Republican party. However, when he won the ticket and began campaigning people knew it was serious. Currently the election is very tight between him and Hillary Clinton, candidate of the Democrats.

Celebrities, especially Hollywood actors have openly said they are not in support of Trumps candidacy. On Thursday, Nigerian literature icon and Nobel Laureate winner Wole Soyinka said he will tear his green card if Trump wins.

Now Basketmouth says if Trump wins, he is going to contest for Nigeria’s presidency in 2019.

What do you say?

If Donald Trump wins the US election, I’m so running for the Presidential election in Nigeria 2019.
