Barcelona have completed the signing of 19-year-old Swedish winger Roony Bardghji from FC Copenhagen. The La Liga champions confirmed the deal on Monday.
In a statement, Barcelona said Bardghji signed a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2029. Although the club did not reveal the transfer fee, Spanish media reports said Barca paid around 2.5 million euros.
Bardghji scored 15 goals in 84 appearances for Copenhagen since breaking into the first team during the 2021/2022 season. However, he was out of action for almost a year after suffering a serious knee injury in May 2024. He returned to play in March 2025.
This makes Bardghji the second player signed by Barcelona this summer after they secured goalkeeper Joan Garcia from Espanyol.
Barcelona said the Swedish Under-21 player will join the squad for pre-season matches. Coach Hansi Flick will then decide if Bardghji is ready to play in the first team next season.
