Since handing over the US Presidency to Donald Trump, Barack and Michelle Obama have been enjoying their new-found freedom on a holiday in the British Virgin Islands.
From wearing caps backwards, to kitesurfing, the Obamas seem to be enjoying life outside the White House.
Barack Obama went kitesurfing with billionaire Richard Branson, who invited him and Michelle for a “complete break” after they moved out of the White House.
Mr Branson said he made a friendly bet with Mr Obama that he could learn how to foilboard before the former President could kitesurf.
“Being the former president of America, there was lots of security around, but Barack was able to really relax and get into it,” Mr Branson said.
The billionaire Virgin founder said they both fell several times during their outing, but it was Mr Obama who managed to take the victory.
During the sunshine-filled getaway, Mr Obama was spotted walking around the island of Anegada in shorts and a T-shirt with his cap on backwards.
Michele Obama had her hair in a braid as paparazzi snapped the group soaking up the sun and enjoying some well-deserved downtime.
When they eventually returned to Washington DC, the Obamas moved into a spacious nine-bedroom home while their daughter Sasha finishes school.
