Bandits have reportedly abducted the district head of Kujama in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Steven Ibrahim, along with two others.
Although the event occurred on Sunday, the Kaduna State Police Command officially confirmed it on Thursday.
State Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, provided details, stating, “The district head was abducted by the hoodlums alongside two others while walking at a reservation centre around the Kujama highway.”
A security source, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that the abduction transpired on Sunday evening.
The district head, accompanied by two others, was seized by gunmen riding on motorcycles at a reservation centre situated behind the Bethel Baptist School.
“The incident happened around 7 pm on Sunday. People around the Anguwar Ayaba community said they saw them being conveyed on their (bandits) motorcycles into the bush,” the source disclosed.
