Bandits demand N200m ransom to release Emir of Kajuru, 13 others
Two days after the Emir of Kajuru and 13 members of his royal family were kidnapped, their abductors have made an audacious demand for a ransom of N200 million
This was disclosed by the Spokesman for the Emirate Council, Dahiru Abubakar who spoke to Channels Television.
Dahiru said that the bandits also assured them that all the victims are in good condition and were not being molested.
He further stated that the council is still appealing to the bandits to release the 85-year-old monarch and his relatives unconditionally, especially giving his fragile health condition.
WuzupNigeria reported that the Emir of Kajuru, Alhaji Alhassan Adamu, was abducted by unknown bandits at his residence in Kajuru Local Government Area.
State Police spokesman, Muhammed Jalige, confirmed the second-class Emir’s abduction on Sunday morning.
According to him: “Yes, it is true; the Emir was abducted alongside 10 other persons, not 12 persons.”
