More than 70 traders have reportedly been abducted by suspected bandits on Wednesday along the Birnin Gwari-Kaduna road.
Vanguard reported that the traders were travelling to Kano State when their convoy was attacked in the morning.
The publication quoted a local identified as Malam Umaru as saying that the traders’ convoy had about 20 vehicles escorted by police.
