Nigeria’s Super Falcons booked their place in the final of the ongoing African Women Championship (AWCON) after defeating tough opponents, South Africa in the semis.
Desire Oparanozie’s 54′ strike was enough to see the nine-time African champions through to the next phase of the competition as they hope to claim their own ‘la decima’ on the African continent.
After the hard-fought victory by the Nigerian ladies, they stormed their locker room and continued dancing to celebrate their win in Cameroon.

Meanwhile, the Senate president, Bukola Saraki, has congratulated the players for their win on Tuesday, and has asked them to go for gold in the competition.
