Gunmen on Saturday shot dead a traditional ruler in Katsina-Ala, Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State.
The deceased, whose name was given as, Godwin Gbajur, is the Tor Gari (township head) of Katsina-Ala town, the headquarters of Katsina-Ala LGA.
Katsina-Ala is also the home place of Terwase Akwaza aka Ghana, a fugitive who is wanted for allegedly killing some persons in the state.
The assassination was confirmed by the state’s police command.
