Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has been made to wait for his first-ever league win over eternal rival, Jose Mourinho as the pair settled for a one-all draw in a Saturday afternoon encounter at the Old Trafford.

Juan Mata scored a well-taken goal in the second half before a late header by Olivier Giroud ensured the Gunners maintain their unbeaten run since the opening day league defeat to Liverpool.

There had been tension ahead of the match and many thought this was the ideal time for the away side to win their first match against a Mourinho side, but there were series of tense moments as Manchester United appealed for a penalty.

The goal would later come, however, as Pogba led the attack that resulted in a neat strike by Mata into an empty net to send the home fans into a wild eruption of jubilation.

Giroud on the other hand, had other plans, as he came in as a second half substitute to cancel out Mata’s goal off a neat Oxlade Chamberlain cross to give the traveling fans something to cheer.
