Arsenal has announced that defender, Gabriel, has tested positive for the deadly coronavirus, after coming in contact with a positive case.
Recall that Gabriel missed Arsenal’s 3-1 demolition of Chelsea at the Emirates having being forced to self-isolate following the contact as he awaits his test result.
A statement from the Gunners read:
“Gabriel has tested positive for Covid-19 and is isolating according to UK Government and Premier League protocols.
“We will continue to monitor and support Gabriel, and we are hoping he will be available again after our next two matches.”
The Brazilian will now miss the Gunners next two Premier League clashes against Brighton and West Brom on Tuesday and Saturday respectively.
