Boxing Day: Bukayo Saka shines as Arsenal thump Norwich 5-0
Arsenal ripped through relegation-threatened Norwich City on Boxing Day to keep their push for a Champions League spot in check.
Bukayo Saka scored a brace in both halves as The Gunners the much-deserved victory that will see them enter 2022 in the Premier League’s top four.
Kieran Tierney’s 44th-minute super strike broke the hosts’ resistance to double Arsenal’s lead after Saka 6th-minute opener.
Saka completed his brace in the 67th-minute before Alexandre Lacazette found the back of the net (84′) with a penalty.
Emile Smith Rowe completed the 5-0 victory for Mikel Arteta’s side (90+1′) with a VAR review sealing Norwich’s misery in front of the home crowd.
Dean Smith’s side remains rock bottom of the table as they have been unable to add to their two league victories this season.
