Arsenal bagged a shocking 3-1 win against Chelsea at the Emirates to bring an end to a run of poor form in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta’s men went into the game with one win in about 10 games having last won a PL match when they beat Manchester United 1-0 on November first.

The home side burst into a shocking three-goal lead with goals from Alexander Lacazette, Granit Xhaka and Bukayo Saka in the space of 20 minutes inside both halves before Tammy Abraham bagged a sweet consolation.

Lacazette made it 1-0 from the spot in the 34th minute after Recce James clipped Kieran Tierney in the Chelsea box before Xhaka netted a stunning freekick ten minutes later.

Saka scored a sitter in what looks like a cross from his weaker foot in the 56th minute before Abraham grabbed Chelsea’s consolation with a chest tap-in in the 85th minute.

Jorginho missed a chance to reduce the deficit from the spot kick in the 90th minute as he failed to beat Brand Leno who calmly saved the Italian’s trademark penalty.

Arsenal held on with additional five minutes to put smiles on the face of Arteta as they secured their first win in eight PL matches and their first at the Emirates since a 2-1 win over Sheffield United back in October.
