Arsenal have edged out a host of Europe’s biggest clubs in the chase for Nigerian teenage sensation, Lateef Omidiji Jr.
Chelsea, Manchester City, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris St-Germain and Ajax are all interested in the 13-year-old striker.
The Gunners are set to snap up Omidiji Jr when he becomes eligible to sign on the dotted line.
Reports have it that the north London club have an agreement in place for Omidiji Jr to travel to London every summer to train with the club.
He will reportedly work closely with the Gunners youth team until he is old enough to sign a professional contract.
Omidiji Jr is currently with Sparta Rotterdam’s youth academy which has produced a number of stars in the past, including Memphis Depay and Georginio Wijnaldum.
