Arsenal have reportedly made a final offer of £101 million (€120m) for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Gunners, currently second in the Premier League, are looking to strengthen their attacking options, with Isak emerging as their top target.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Arsenal’s bid reflects their strong determination to sign the Swedish striker. However, securing the deal might be difficult, as Newcastle may not be willing to sell.

The report added, “Those close to the player haven’t ruled out a change of scenery if the offer is sufficiently attractive.”

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is keen to bring in a reliable centre-forward, believing that Isak’s mobility and goal-scoring ability could improve the team’s attack.

“Arteta believes the Swede would bring mobility, power, and goalscoring power to a team that, while creating plenty of chances, has lacked impact in the penalty area,” the report stated.

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has also praised Isak, suggesting that signing him could help Arsenal win the league next season.

“Arsenal fans have been calling out for a No.9 for two or three years. If you can sign Isak, you’ve got to do it. They could win the league with him because he’s phenomenal and gives them something different,” Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel.

Arsenal’s bid signals their intent to compete for top trophies, but it remains to be seen whether Newcastle will accept the offer.
