Arsenal beat Wolves 2-1 to maintain EPL lead

Arsenal secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, solidifying their position at the top of the Premier League table.

Captain Martin Odegaard’s fine team goal capped a dominant performance by the Gunners, who took control of the match from the outset.

Bukayo Saka opened the scoring with a powerful strike in the sixth minute, and Odegaard doubled the lead just seven minutes later with a clinical finish from Oleksandr Zinchenko’s cutback.

Arsenal could have further extended their advantage before halftime, but Gabriel Martinelli’s shot rattled the post.

Wolves threatened a comeback in the closing stages, with Matheus Cunha’s effort narrowly missing the target. However, Arsenal held on for the three points, extending their lead over defending champions Manchester City to four points.
