Arsenal beat Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford

Published

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal defeated Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford for the first time in 14 years on Sunday night.

The Gunners were the better side in the first half with United’s duo of Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba failing to create chances.

The home side’s only chance came through Mason Greenwood but Arsenal’s Brand Leno denied the youngster a second consecutive goal at Old Trafford, ending the first half 0-0.

Solksjaer’s men came rearing in the second half, doing much to keep the away side at bay but his lads lacked the brilliance to break the Gunners.

Paul Pogba, however, let his side down when he brought down Hector Bellerin through a clumsy tackle in the United box.

Gabonese Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored from the spot in the 67th minute to give the away team their first win in three games.
