Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington, also known as “Akpi,” is back in the spotlight following his recent release from police custody.

In a recent video, Speed Darlington demanded N12 million from Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy, claiming he would make Burna beg to pay him that amount.

Darlington’s latest actions follow his arrest due to a petition filed by Burna Boy’s team over alleged cyberstalking.

The dispute began after Speed Darlington questioned Burna Boy’s connection with American rapper Sean Combs, also known as P. Diddy, asking Burna how he became more famous after their interactions.

In the video, Darlington reiterated he would handle Burna in a way that the Grammy star would ask for his account details to send the money. “I’m just getting started”, he stated.

Speed Darlington’s mother previously urged Burna Boy to release her son during his detention in Abuja by the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team.

After three days in custody, Darlington was released on bail but has continued taunting Burna Boy on social media. He even released a diss track titled Baby Oil, aimed directly at Burna Boy.

After his release, Darlington publicly apologized to Burna Boy, but he later admitted his lawyer pushed him to make the apology so he could retrieve his phone. “I still have the video on my laptop, and I will buy another phone,” he boasted in a follow-up video.
