The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Grand Alliance has unveiled a provisional timetable outlining activities for its primary elections ahead of the 2027 general polls.

The development was announced in a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ejimofor Opara.

The statement also provided details of the fees for nomination forms across various elective positions.

“This in compliance with the revised INEC timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general election dated February 26, 2026, and pursuant to its powers under the APGA constitution 2019 and the Electoral Act 2026,” the statement said.

According to the schedule, the sale and submission of expression of interest forms will run from April 20 to May 8. Screening for prospective National Assembly aspirants is set for May 11, followed by State House of Assembly candidates on May 12, and governorship aspirants on May 13.

It will be recalled that during its South-East regional convention in Awka on Saturday, the party announced that aspirants would first purchase expression of interest forms and undergo screening before being cleared to obtain nomination forms.

The party further stated that the sale and return of nomination forms would commence on May 14 and conclude on May 21.

APGA fixed the cost of its expression of interest forms as follows: President, N25 million; Senate, N6 million; House of Representatives, N4 million; Governor, N10 million; and House of Assembly, N2 million.

The timetable indicates that all primary elections will take place on May 23, 2026, using the option A4 voting system, while appeals arising from the primaries will be addressed on May 28, 2026.
