APC! Osinbajo arrives Lagos ahead of governorship primaries [Photos]
The Vice president of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, visited Lagos State on Saturday for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Primary Election at Eti-Osa LGA.
He also held a meeting with APC governorship aspirant, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and a former commissioner, Toyin Hamzat, who has since stepped down for Sanwo-Olu.
Meanwhile, the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) of the Lagos chapter of the APC has endorsed Sanwo-Olu to pick the party’s governorship ticket for the 2019 election in the state.
Sen. Anthony Adefuye, a member the council, announced the endorsement to party members on Saturday, at a stakeholders’ meeting at the ACME Road state party secretariat.
He said the GAC, the highest decision-making body of the chapter, arrived at the endorsement after a meeting which lasted for several hours.
Adefuye said the meeting was chaired by the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and was attended by other prominent members of the party.
Meanwhile, The APC has announced that the governorship primaries for Lagos and Imo States have been shifted to Monday
National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, who made the announcement said it was being postponed for logistic reasons
