JUST IN: APC moves to suspend Buhari's aide Babafemi Ojudu

The crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress, APC has intensified as certain forces within the Ekiti state chapter are pushing for the suspension of Babafemi Ojudu, an aide to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The plot to suspend Ojudu is hinged on alleged anti-party activities.

According to Politics Nigeria,  Senator Ojudu, who is a special adviser to the president on political matters, started facing problems after he accused state governor, Kayode Fayemi of running the party like a ‘personal business’ adding that the governor was frustrating attempts to resolve internal party issues.

During a recent interview, Ojudu criticized Fayemi severely stating that he has done nothing for the state since he was elected governor in 2018.

Last week, State chairman, Paul Omotosho reportedly summoned a meeting with party executives from Ojudu’s ward 8 in Ado-Ekiti to commence the suspension process on Ojudu.

Confirming the development, the senator admitted to receiving information on Friday, June 19th, that the state working committee of the party has initiated moves to suspend him. However, when contacted, publicity secretary of the party, Mr. Ade Ajayi, denied the development adding that the public should disregard the report.
