The All Progressives Congress has distanced itself from a purported timetable and schedule of activities for its forthcoming Ward, Local Government, and State congresses currently circulating on social media.

The document, titled “Draft APC 2025 Schedule of Nationwide Congresses and Related Activities,” went viral online, claiming that the party had slated its Ward and Local Government congresses for December 10 and 12, 2025, respectively.

It further listed State and Zonal congresses to follow, with the National Convention allegedly scheduled to hold between March 25 and 28, 2026.

However, in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, dismissed the document, describing it as fake and unauthorized.

“The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to ‘APC 2025 SCHEDULE OF NATIONWIDE CONGRESSES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES’ widely in circulation on social media.

“Our great Party wishes to clarify that the purported Schedule of Activities for Congresses was neither made nor authorized by the Party, and should be disregarded as FAKE NEWS,” the statement read.

Records show that the APC last conducted its Ward, Local Government, and State congresses in 2021, while its National Convention—which produced Senator Abdullahi Adamu as National Chairman and Senator Iyiola Omisore as National Secretary—was held in March 2022.

Meanwhile, party insiders suggest that discussions are ongoing about the possible extension of the tenure of the current National Working Committee (NWC), as well as the state, local government, and ward executives, beyond the 2027 general elections.
