Former heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua was reportedly involved in a fatal road accident in Nigeria on Monday, leaving at least two people dead. The crash occurred days after a widely publicised boxing event involving social media star Jake Paul.
Sources familiar with the incident disclosed that the accident happened along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, around the Makun axis of Ogun State. As of press time, authorities had yet to release an official statement, while full details of the circumstances surrounding the crash remained unclear.
Footage obtained by our platform shows the British-Nigerian boxer inside a severely damaged vehicle following the incident. Two members of his entourage were reportedly confirmed dead at the scene.
An eyewitness who was part of the rescuers confirmed that Joshua survived the crash with minor injuries.
As of the time of filing this report, the identity of the deceased persons remain unknow.
