Latest transfer report informs that another Super Eagles’ midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, is on the verge of joining English champions Leicester City in January.
According to the UK Telegraph, Leicester City have moved swiftly to tie up the £14 million capture of Ndidi as Claudio Ranieri steps up his preparations for the January transfer window.
We learnt the Genk defensive midfielder had his medical on Monday and will become the Premier League champions’ first signing of the new year, subject to a work permit.
The 19-year-old Nigeria international has agreed a five-year contract and the deal is expected to be announced shortly after the window officially opens, Telegraph reports.

It was gathered that Ndidi did not take part in training with Genk on Monday to undergo a medical with the English club.
Sources close to the player informed newsmen that Ndidi, who arrived in the morning, passed the medical before returning to Belgium in the evening.
“All that’s left is for the two clubs to iron out a few minor details, then sort out his work permit, and he’ll join Leicester once the winter window opens,” KweséSports was informed.
Genk will play an important Cup match against Charleroi on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Ndidi will be joining another Super Eagles player, Ahmed Musa if his transfer to Leicester becomes successful in January.
