Another evil Boko Haram plan exposed
Surrounded by the Nigerian military with hundreds of its members killed and running out of resources, Boko Haram is trying to send some of its members undercover.
The terrorist organisation is trying to get its members to spread into society, posing as captured civilians in a bid to retain its ideology and regroup.
The Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday announcing the capture of 17 members of the sect.
Usman said the insurgents captured by members of the civilian JTF along Njaba Road, South of Damboa.
He explained that when the sect members were initially apprehended, the claimed that they were forced by sect members to join the group.
However, upon further investigation, it was discovered that they were hardened members of the sect who were trying to infiltrate the society.
The terrorists, he explained, had earlier attacked a village killing four people and abducting four women. This led the Civilian JTF to mobilise and go after them.
The abducted women have yet to be rescued, however.
