The 2025 Academy Awards, held on Sunday in Los Angeles, delivered a night of glitz, emotion, and historic wins, with Anora emerging as the biggest winner of the night.

The film clinched five Oscars, including the coveted Best Picture and Best Director for Sean Baker, while Mikey Madison secured the Best Actress award for her performance in the film.

Adrien Brody claimed his second Best Actor Oscar for his role inThe Brutalist, solidifying his legacy in Hollywood.

Meanwhile, Kieran Culkin (A Real Pain)and Zoe Saldaña (Emilia Pérez) won in the Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress categories, respectively.

The ceremony, hosted by comedian Conan O’Brien, was not just about accolades but also paid homage to industry icons and real-world heroes.

Hollywood legend Morgan Freeman led an emotional tribute to Gene Hackman, who was found dead last week alongside his wife and dog in their New Mexico home.

Similarly, Oprah Winfrey, Whoopi Goldberg, and Queen Latifah honored the late music legend Quincy Jones, who passed away in November.

In a poignant moment, the Academy also recognized the brave firefighters who battled the devastating Los Angeles wildfires, which had caused the Oscars’ nominations to be postponed twice in January.
