In January, 2Baba publicly announced their separation, after which the actress reintroduced herself as Annie Macaulay at the Headies Awards, openly stating that she was single. She described her daughters as her “backbone,” underscoring the importance of family during the period. Annie later wiped her social media accounts, expressed gratitude to her support system, and spoke about choosing to move forward with dignity.
