Reality TV star and artiste, Yerimene Abraham Saibakumo, aka Yerins, has warned Nigerians to desist from disrespecting Beninese singer and songwriter, Angelique Kidjo.
He made the statement following a growing debate among netizens after Angelique Kidjo won the Best Global Music Album category with her album ‘Mother Nature.’
An indifferent Yerins says it is wrong for fans to compare her award-winning album with their favourite, Ayo Balogun aka Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ featuring Tems.
In a tweet on Monday, an infuriated Yerins said Angelique Kidjo is way above the league of their faves and doesn’t deserve this level of disrespect.
He said; “Angelique Kidjo is bigger than your faves..Stop disrespecting her!!!”
