The husband of the Afiba Tandor, a Ghanian victim of a suspected organ harvesting in Abia State, has revealed that he was pressures into paying N2m ransom.
Afiba’s husband revealed that he was pressures into paying the sum by one Darlington, the boyfriend of a friend to Celine Ndudim (victim two), simply called Blessing.
WuzupNigeria reported that Afiba and Celine went missing after visiting the prime suspect in the kidnap-turn-murder case, Andrew Ochekwo.
Speaking in a viral video available on social media the husband revealed they had been on the case for over thirty days.
He said, “I am aware that my wife, Afiba, accompanied her friend to Aba to see Amechi.
“I spoke to my wife when she left Accra, Ghana, with Celine for Lagos. From Lagos, they went to Owerri, Imo State, before travelling to Port Harcourt, Rivers State.”
He added that the boyfriend of one of his wife’s friends named Blessing has been demanding that he send N2 million naira as ransom while demanding that his name should not be mentioned in the case.
“I am not happy, and I don’t believe that my wife is dead. If I knew my wife was dead, would I be talking to you like this?”
Afiba’s husband stated that he was unhappy with how the police handled the matter.
“I beg the Nigerian Police to do everything possible to rescue my wife and her friend,” he said.
He further stated that the issue had lingered for over a month, and no headway had been made.
Recall that the prime suspect, Andrew Ochekwo, was arrested in Aba, and his case was transferred to Umuahia. Later, there were attempts to relocate him to Abuja due to concerns about his comfortable living conditions in custody.
However, during transportation from Abia State to Abuja, Ochekwo was reportedly shot dead by police officers.
The Police officers subsequently discovered a decomposing body near Ochekwo’s residence in the Ogbor-Hill area of Aba.
The body was wrapped in a curtain similar to those found in Ochekwo’s house, where he had invited the missing women.
