A disturbing video has sparked outrage online after armed men believed to be members of Operation Udo Ga-Achi, also known as the Agunechemba Vigilante Group, stormed a corps members’ lodge in Anambra State and brutalised a female corps member, Jennifer Edema Elohor, along with some of her colleagues.

The incident, which took place on July 23 but surfaced online this week, showed Elohor being beaten and stripped naked by the vigilantes, who were armed with guns. Despite showing their NYSC identity cards and uniforms, the corps members were accused of being internet fraudsters.

The viral clip, shared by The Haven Foundation on Facebook, captured Elohor crying for help as her clothes were torn while the vigilantes continued to hit her.

The foundation described the attack as “brutal and degrading,” adding that the corps members were subjected to sexually humiliating threats. In a statement, it said, “We strongly condemn the brutal assault and violation of rights of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members by operatives of Operation Udo Ga-Achi or ‘Agunechemba Vigilante Group’ in Anambra State.

“On July 23, 2025, these state actors stormed the corpers lodge, accusing the members of being ‘Yahoo people’, despite their prompt production of NYSC identification cards and uniforms. The assault was particularly egregious in the case of Jennifer Edema Elohor, who was beaten, stripped naked, and left exposed and covered in blood. The victims were subjected to unsavoury, horrible, sexually degrading words and actions, including threats of sexual violation.”

The group further revealed that Elohor’s parents and legal counsel had already reported the matter in pursuit of justice.

It demanded the immediate arrest and prosecution of those behind the attack, stressing that the victims deserved compensation for the physical injuries and psychological trauma they suffered.

The Haven Foundation urged Governor Charles Soludo to ensure justice is served, while also calling on the Federal Government, civil society groups, and Nigerians to rise in support of the victims.

“Justice must not be delayed,” the foundation added.

Operation Udo Ga-Achi was introduced earlier this year by the Anambra State Government to help tackle crimes such as kidnapping, robbery, and cultism across the state.
