The Independent National Electoral Commission has fixed November 13 for its rescheduled election in the entire Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Recall that INEC had postponed the poll over alleged irregularities uncovered in most communities in the council area.

The commission made the announcement on Sunday through the officer in charge, Ahmadu Umar, during the collation of results from other LGAs.

Umar, who explained that Ihiala LGA has 148,407 registered voters, warned trouble makers to steer clear of all the venues where the election is to be held in the LGA.

The Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr C. Don Adinuba, had earlier claimed that a politician in the area and his group tried to rig the election in Ihiala.

He said some of the hoodlums meant to use for the purpose had been arrested by security agents.
