In a bid to boost the effectiveness of police officers in Lagos State, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode today, December5, 2016, handed over 3 patrol vehicles and 45 power bikes to Rapid Response Squad (RRS).
Speaking on the decision to hand over the new equipment to the RRS, Ambode, through his official Twitter handle, said, “The security of lives and property remains one of the focal objectives of our administration.”
The governor also added that, “We remain committed to the welfare of security personnels, we’ll increase the death insurance benefit for officers who die in active service.”

Responding to the gesture, the RRS Commander, Mr. Olatunji Disu said the equipment given to them by the State Government would further spur them to give their best towards protecting the lives and property of residents.
