A 14-foot alligator was discovered with a human torso in its mouth in the city of Largo, Florida on Friday, sending shockwaves through the neighborhood. The terrifying encounter left residents in a state of panic and disbelief.
Jamarcus Bullard, a local resident who was en route to a job interview, stumbled upon the horrifying scene.
Initially, Bullard believed that the alligator was biting down on a portion of a mannequin. However, upon closer inspection, he realized that it could be a human torso trapped within the predator’s jaws.
In a statement to Fox13 News, Bullard expressed his shock and concern, saying, “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. It was something straight out of a nightmare.”
Fearing the worst, Bullard wasted no time in alerting the fire department about his grisly discovery.
The fire department swiftly responded to the call and confirmed that it was indeed a human body part trapped in the alligator’s mouth.
Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies, who arrived at the scene soon after, discovered additional remains belonging to an unidentified adult in the vicinity. Thankfully, no one else was harmed during this horrific ordeal.
With the safety of the community as a priority, authorities made the difficult decision to kill the alligator in a humane manner.
This was done to ensure that there would be no further danger to residents or potential loss of life.
