Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has opened up about the strong bond between his wife, Chioma, and his children from other relationships, highlighting their growing family dynamic and Chioma’s role in it.
During an interview on The Breakfast Club, Davido shared that Chioma has an excellent relationship with all of his children, despite them being from different mothers.
He noted that her natural connection with his daughter, Hailey, stood out the most.
“Chioma knows about all my kids, my kids love her, especially my daughter (Hailey), so I’m just happy to see growth,” he said.
The Unavailable crooner revealed that, at one point, he had reservations about introducing his children to Chioma but was pleasantly surprised by how effortlessly the relationships developed. He recalled a moment that affirmed this bond during a family vacation.
“There was a time I was scared to even bring my other kids around her. I didn’t even have to tell my daughter who Chioma was, she just understood it. Next thing, we were in the Bahamas, with my wife braiding her hair and I was like ‘Yes!’,” he recounted.
Davido also reflected on his long-standing relationship with Chioma, noting they’ve been together for over a decade before eventually getting married.
“Before we got married, we were together for like 11 years. We met in school, she was my girlfriend and then we got married. I was 18 when we met,” he shared.
The singer’s comments have since drawn positive reactions online, with many applauding the couple’s unity and Chioma’s role in maintaining harmony within their blended family.
