Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has pledged to sustain the legacies of his predecessor, the late Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
This commitment was expressed during a candlelight procession organized by the Nigeria Bar Association, Ondo State chapter, in honor of the late Akeredolu at the Government House in Akure on Friday night.
Governor Aiyedatiwa lauded Akeredolu as a fearless legal luminary and a dedicated leader, highlighting his predecessor’s unwavering commitment to justice and service to the people, which earned him the title of “Senior Advocate of the Masses.”
Acknowledging the commendable gesture of the candlelight procession, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for the genuine love demonstrated and assured that all ongoing projects initiated by the late Akeredolu would be completed.
He urged for continuous prayers and said, “All you can do for us right now is to continue to pray for us that God should grant all of us the fortitude to bear this loss.”
NBA Chairman of the Akure Branch, Mr. Bayo Aina, emphasized the association’s unwavering commitment to support and perpetuate Akeredolu’s impactful work, even in death.
He assured that the legacy left behind by the late leader would be preserved as an illuminating beacon guiding the state’s governance and legal sphere.
