Aiyedatiwa dissolves state executive council

The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has dissolved the State Executive Council with immediate effect.

This announcement was made on Wednesday in a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.

According to the statement, two cabinet members were exempted from the dissolution due to the essential nature of their roles.

The retained officials are the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, and the Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac.

The governor directed all outgoing cabinet members to hand over government properties in their possession to the accounting officers of their respective ministries.

Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to the former EXCO members for their contributions to the state.

The statement read, “Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa appreciates the outgoing cabinet members for their service and contributions to the development of Ondo State under his administration and wishes them success in their future endeavours.”
