Olusegun Adeniyi, the Executive Director and Editorial Board Chairman of THISDAY Newspaper, former Special Adviser on Media & Publicity to the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Aduahas penned a touching note to pirates and the general public after his book, Against the Run of Play was hacked online and shared for free.
Adeniyi expressed hope that the people who get to read the book would benefit hugely from it, though it is regrettable that the piracy would amount to huge loss to him and his publishers.
He commiserated with players in the creative industry, especially the Nollywood, whose work get pirated constantly.
He called on the concerned authorities to do more in protecting intellectual properties.
